have a transporter+idea for a city
one of my suggestions is:
why do we have to walk for so many long mins untill we reach our destination?
cant we run faster\have some sort of transport ... in the magical time of guild wars i wouldnt expect a car but an animal a magical animal...
wouldnt that be great that instead of walking around the unexplore for so much long time we can move things faster... of course new players shouldnt just run the game but let's say you made your 4th char and want to skip some of the walking or if not skip then run faster... with that kind of animal.
i know theres the skill sprint that warriors have.. and they also like to "run" people from place to place which is the main idea of my suggestion but:
1. they asking money.
2. not too dependable.
3. having a beautiful animal as your trasport could really add to the game.
idea for a city:
i have thought that you could make a beautiful (just like the rest of the game ) city that floats above the ground like an angels place... that could be used in many ways...
1. be a starting ground for a new kind of heros... (Angels or come up with a special name)
2. if not a starting ground then a special city that is part of the whole story.
a city that have big fountain in the middle and has sunlight that makes it looks like a holy place... and some clouds around it.
well that just basic idea of course coming up with ideas isnt a (too) hard task but making it real is a lot harder...
waiting to hear from development and from you people, what u think?

You can run Faster, Warriors = Sprint, Charge ; Rangers = Storm Chase, Dodge, ; Elementalist = Windbourne Speed. You can run with all those.
New outposts I think are on the way. Sorrows Furnace and Grenths something.

Use the search function. People who talk about steeds are just beating a dead...steed.
In addition, that city thing isn't a suggestion. If you want a new city that looks exactly how you want, make your own game. There's no point to it, so they're not going to waste time to make that when they could be working on Grenth's Footprint.

The idea with these explorable areas, is to fight and gain XP. I'm sure ANet wasn't expecting people to use the running skills to simply avoid EVERYTHING in a area and run to the next portal. They want a level of difficulty in getting to new areas while in PvE.
To put it bluntly, this game doesn't need mounts.

Warriors have another running skill called "Charge!" and Rangers have running skills as well. Elementalists have one, but it's better suited as an add-on to the Warrior or Ranger skills.
As to your other points:
1)Yes, some people run others places for money. There are others who charge less for the same service and even others (like myself) who charge nothing (some ask for tips for taking the time to get YOU somewhere... after all, they are helping you when they could be off doing something else!)
2)You're finding the wrong ones. There are many relaible ones out there, who either charge or do it for free. Just don't go for the ones that expect you to pay up front, because that is almost always a scam.
3) Actually it would turn the game into a zoo and take AWAY from the game. It would be difficult to code it where and when you were allowed to use said mounts without unbalancing the game or changing it entirely. This game simply doesn't NEED mounts.

There are new areas on the way, plus an expansion. Your idea is certainly an interesting one, but we'll have to wait to see how the storyline unfolds and what new areas will come to us.

ok i get your point... i thought that running skills were only for warriors (i knew that ele have one too but isnt as effective)
and maybe u didnt got my whole point about it...
i never meant that new people will just run the game and i said it...
think about it: u played the game 3 times and now have a new 4th char and want to speed things up, wouldnt it be less boring if u could move up the boring areas of the game? (even though there are few of these)

one more thing instead of making some animal to carry u as much as u wish with no limits... how about make a skill for that of course that all preffesions will be able to get it..
like summoning an animal to ride on and help u fight for a limited time (something like the pet of the ranger just what u will be able to ride on it)
btw the idea of summoning monsters has really been forggoten here... of course u got that necro skill for minions but how about summoning somthing more premantly and powerful... of course powerfull as the skill is...

If you look at Dark Age of Camelot or www.camelotherald.com you can see that there are HORSE ROUTES! Id love to have a horse or buy 1 that keeps the monsters off your back and keeps you safe until arrived at the destination. As ive said b4 im gonna say again "Its a pain in the Fu**ing @ss running back and forth" And dont give this crap ever heard of TELEPORT WHEN NOT IN TOWN? i dont care! When exploring it be nice to have something that you can ride on and even use to attack on. Making it a disadvantage for the NPC and having the chance of miss increased by 10% or more. I think the cost also should be something like 10 Gold per Horse. Fact that it cant die. But it can only be used as a transport or something. If you do die it acts as an item and always returns to you. Or maybe make it that i has health and healing it can only be done if you use a bottle of water or an enchantment scroll on it.
